A new investment from St. David’s Foundation will help strengthen the resources and support Saint Louise House provides to mothers and children building more stable futures.
Economic stability is an important part of building a healthy, secure future for families led by women. When mothers have greater access to resources that help them meet their basic needs, they have more opportunities to focus on what comes next — from pursuing education and employment to creating a stable home for their children.
Supporting Families Beyond Housing
At Saint Louise House, we know that a safe home is the foundation, but lasting stability takes more than housing alone.
Our Empowerment Partners work alongside mothers to address the many factors that affect a family’s ability to thrive. This can include navigating community resources, pursuing education and employment goals, strengthening financial stability, supporting children’s well-being, and building the skills and confidence needed to move toward greater independence.
Children have their own programming focused on academic and extracurricular support. This two-generation approach ensures that both mothers and children have access to the resources, support and opportunities they need to be empowered and thrive.
This grant will provide meaningful support for this work and recognition of the impact our Program team creates every day.
It also reflects something fundamental about Saint Louise House: our impact is possible because of the strength of our entire team.
From Programs to Development and Operations, as well as every team member working directly with families, each department contributes to our shared mission of helping mothers and children build stable, healthy futures. The strength of our programs depends on all of us working together.
Part of a Stronger Central Texas Community
Saint Louise House is honored to be recognized alongside organizations across Central Texas that are working to address barriers to economic stability.
St. David’s Foundation selected organizations for their expertise, trusted community relationships and ability to help people overcome barriers to accessing resources for which they may be eligible. The Foundation’s broader investment is designed not only to support individual organizations, but also to strengthen coordination across the community.
We are grateful to St. David’s Foundation for investing in this work and in the families we serve.
When mothers and children have the resources, support and stability they need, they can focus on what comes next and build a future where they can thrive.
