Volunteer Roles
You can help make sure every mother and child feels special on their birthday by providing a cake. Meals allow moms to not have to cook on their birthdays, welcome families on their move-in day, and support families when they’re undergoing a special challenge like a child in the hospital. (Drop off during business hours)
Support family participation in life skills workshops by providing a meal for our community to share together beforehand. Meals for 25 can be homemade or purchased and delivered before 4:30pm. Great volunteer opportunity for families, individuals or work groups. We also welcome 1-2 volunteers to join us to serve and cleanup the meal.
We provide a pantry of household items such as laundry detergent, deodorant, and other necessities to help mothers through months when unexpected expenses bite into their budget. Coordinate a drive among family, friends, and co-workers for much-needed items such as toiletries, detergent, or cleaning supplies. (Drop off during business hours)
Providing services in Spanish helps us meet every family where they are. Translate documents, usually from English into Spanish, enter application information into database, or provide interpretation services. (As needed)
We partner with Central Texas Food Bank to keep our pantry filled so that families always have access to staples. Pick up orders from the Central Texas Food Bank and deliver to Saint Louise House. (1-2 hours, monthly)
