Ashley Avera was born and raised in Texas and residing in Austin since 2007 Ashley Avera is an accomplished lobbyist known for her interpersonal skills, strategic acuity, and knowledge of the Texas legislative process. With over a decade and a half of experience in government relations, Ashley successfully championed many legislative initiatives and built a robust network of policymakers, stakeholders, friends, and colleagues.
Ashley graduated from Texas Tech University, where she played D1 Tennis, with degrees in Psychology and Mass Communications. She began her career in Texas politics with the Texas Legislative Service in 2008, and now owns her own consulting business.
In her role as an advocate, she represents a diverse portfolio of clients. She was has been at the incept of some of the most difficult legislative fights in the past decade – she protected and advanced clients’ interests in matters including, transportation, broadband, insurance and tort reform, lending and regulatory affairs, disaster recovery, and gaming.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ashley is actively involved in her community. She is passionate about St. Louise House’s mission and is excited to use her work in advocacy for the advancement of its goals.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys exploring Austin’s vibrant cultural scene, tennis, golf, live music, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
