
Ashley Avera
President, Texas Cable Association
Ashley Avera is an accomplished lobbyist and respected leader in Texas government affairs. With more than 15 years of experience, she has successfully championed key policy initiatives and built a broad coalition of policymakers and stakeholders across the state.
A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, where she competed as a Division I tennis player, Ashley holds degrees in Psychology and Mass Communications. She began her career with the Texas Legislative Service in 2008 and now serves as President of the Texas Cable Association, in addition to leading her own consulting firm.
Ashley has represented clients in some of Texas’s most complex policy arenas, including transportation, broadband, insurance and tort reform, lending and regulatory affairs, disaster recovery, and gaming.
Beyond her professional work, Ashley is proud to serve on the Board of Saint Louise House, where she uses her advocacy experience to advance the organization’s mission of empowering women and children to overcome homelessness.
A native Texan, Ashley has lived in Austin since 2007. She enjoys being active outdoors exploring the city with her husband and young daughter and spending time with family and friends.
