With our apartments averaging 50 years old, some urgently need repairs and updates. Because Saint Louise House owns these properties, we have an opportunity to intentionally create homes and shared spaces that support the whole family through safe play areas, welcoming outdoor spaces, accessible facilities, and well-maintained homes that meet current quality and safety standards.

Safe & Secure Spaces in Action: Building a Place to Play, Heal & Grow
For children, play is more than fun. It is an important part of how they learn, build confidence, form relationships, and experience the joy of childhood. For mothers, having a safe and welcoming place to gather creates opportunities to connect with their children, build relationships with other mothers, and strengthen their own sense of community and belonging.
Until now, only one Saint Louise House apartment campus has had an on-site playground. Through Safe & Secure Spaces, we have created a place where children can play freely and mothers can connect, gather, and enjoy time with their families. More than a playground, this shared space supports both generations through safety, belonging, connection, and healing.
